General Information About tour

One of their prime cuisine is mughlai Cuisine that is one of the most popular cuisines, whose origin can be traced back to the times of Mughal Empire. Witness the kaleidoscope of India through the Golden Triangle Tour that is designed to take you through capital Delhi influenced from 1630s Mughal Empire, home of Taj Mahal in Agra and the heritage pink coloured city Jaipur. Next we take you to the romantic city of lakes Udaipur famed spot of 1983 James Bond film octopussya, followed by visit to the Bollywood capital of India Mumbai. From authentic Indian cooking classes at local residences, to city's famed fine dine restaurants, to local spice trading bazaars, this trip allows you to carry with you the memoirs of hospitable people and their cuisine & culture.

 

Tour Information

Day 01: Arrive Delhi

Once you arrive we will transfer you to your Delhi Hotel alongwith complimentary welcome gift!

O/N: DELHI HOTEL 

Day 02: Delhi 

8am. you will be taken for tour of Old Delhi visiting Raj Ghat (the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi),Red Fort(magnificent fort of Mughal Empire from outside); ‘Jama Masjid’ (the Oldest & largest Mosque in India) and bustling bazaar of ‘Chandni Chowk to enjoy traditional Rickshaw Ride inside spice trading bazaar Khari Baoli here & also visit Sikh Shrine Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib

Afternoon at leisure.

6pm. You will be taken to witness Sound & Light show at Red Fort “Relive the history of Delhi and the Mughal Empire during this spectacular sound and light show at the ‘Red Fort’”. After the show you will be taken to specialty restaurant ‘Chor Bizarre’ of Broadway Hotel for Traditional Dinner.

After dinner we take you back to your Hotel to rest.

Day 03: Delhi

Morning free to relax

11am. You will be taken to local residence for ethnic Indian Cooking Class (incl. preparation by you) followed by lunch.

1pm. Enjoy afternoon tour of New City of Delhi as we visit world’s tallest brick minaret Qutab Minar, mother temple of bahai religion Lotus Temple and later we walk around boulevard Raj Path to witness India Gate, President & Parliament House (fm outside)

After tour we take you back to your Hotel to relax.

Day 04 : Delhi – Agra by Train 

5am. Early morning you will be transferred to New Delhi Train station to board the train to ‘Agra’.

8.10am Depart   New Delhi by 12050 Gatiman Express (or similar) 9.50am Arrive   Agra Cantt. “AC 1st Class(or similar)

Upon arrival in Agra transfer to your Hotel for check-in.

2pm. We begin your afternoon sightseeing visiting baby Taj Itmad-Ud-Daulah and inside Agra’s famed Red Fort.

After the tour return back to hotel.

6pm. We introduce you to head-chef of ITC Mughal Hotel who will brief you on authentic Indian cuisine/ recipes  and arrange for visit to kitchen to see how Naan and Romali Roti followed by traditional Mughlai Dinner at ‘Peshawari’ or ‘Taj Bano’ restaurant.

After Dinner we take you back to your Hotel to relax.

O/N: AGRA HOTEL

Day 05: Agra – Jaipur

(235 kms, approx. 5 hrs drive)  (via Fatehpur Sikri)

6am. We take you for sunrise tour of World Famed Taj Mahal(the Epitome of love with its’ lacy white grandeur, is perhaps the most perfect architectural monument built by Shah Jahan)

8am. You will be driven to ‘Jaipur’ enroute visiting the Ghost City red stone Mughal city “Fatehpur Sikri” after the tour continue drive to Jaipur for Checkin.

Rest of the day free to relax or do your own activities.

6.30pm. You will be taken for traditional Rajasthani folk dances show at Hotel Jai Mahal Palace / ITC Rajputana followed by Royal Dinner served in Silver ‘Thali’ Plate.

After Dinner we take you back to your Hotel to rest.

O/N: JAIPUR HOTEL

Day 06: Jaipur

8am. We take you for tour of Amber Fort (overlooking Maota Lake) & explore mirror palace and royal courtyards inside.

11am. You will be taken for Indian Cooking Class (incl. preparation by you) at Indian Residence or local ‘Surabhi Restaurant’. Here you will also be served with same cooked food for a classical Lunch experience.

1.30pm. We continue your sightseeing as we visit Maharaja’s City Palace with Museum, and 1734CE built astronomical observatory Jantar Mantar. Next we visit palace of winds Hawa Mahal and hop-on a Tuk-Tuk to enjoy leisure time around the Local Bazaar markets.

Later we return to Hotel.

O/N: JAIPUR HOTEL

Day 07: Jaipur – Udaipur 

(Apx. 6.5Hr & 405Km scenic drive)

6am. After breakfast and checkout we transfer you to Jaipur airport for your flight to Udaipur

Spicejet SG2623 ETD Jaipur 0830 - ETA Udaipur 0925 (or similar) (15Kg check-in baggage allowance)

9.35am. Upon Udaipur arrival you will be met and transferred to your Hotel for check-in and rest.

O/N: UDAIPUR HOTEL

Day08: Udaipur Tour 

9am. Our heritage tour begins as we visit inside Maharaja’s City Palace with Museum. Next we visit inside city’s largest hindu temple Jagdish Temple and enjoy leisure time at local bazaar markets.  

Later we return to Hotel to rest.

6.30pm. You will be taken to local residence of an Indian family, where you will participate in an ethnic Cooking Class (incl. preparation by you) and Traditional Dinner and interactions with the local family.

After dinner we take you back to your Hotel to rest.

O/N: UDAIPUR HOTEL

Day 09: Udaipur – Mumbai

6am. after breakfast you will be transferred to Udaipur Airport for your onwards flight to ‘Mumbai’;

 ETD 8.20am Depart ‘Udaipur’ by Jet Airways 9W 373 (or similar), ETA 9.35am Arrive ‘Mumbai’ “Economy class(or similar), (15 kg checkin Baggage Allowance)

Upon arrival in Mumbai you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in.

1pm. You will be taken city tour of Mumbai visiting local Dabbawala and witness traditional lunch delivery process, next we visit Prince of Wales Museum, Dhobi Ghat (an open air Laundromat) and Mani Bhawan (known as the focal point of Gandhi's political activities in Mumbai between 1917 and 1934)

7pm. you will be taken for Indian Cuisine Dinner at city’s famed Masala Kraft at hotel Taj Mahal, Mumbai. “Masala Kraft with its contemporary Indian cuisine is a balance of the classic with the modern. Blending aromatic Indian spices with modern cooking techniques).

After dinner you will be taken to your Hotel to relax.

O/N: MUMBAI HOTEL

Day 10: Mumbai

8.30am. you will be taken for tour of the world famed ‘Elephanta Caves’ including ferry ride. (These are a network of sculpted caves located on Elephanta Island aka ‘city of caves’) After the caves tour, we take you back to your Hotel to relax & unwind.

O/N: MUMBAI HOTEL

Day 11: Depart Mumbai

(In time to be advised) you will be transferred to the Mumbai airport for your onwards journey back home.
